How To Add Binance Smart Chain Network To MetaMask Wallet

I do not provide personal investment advice and I am not a qualified licensed investment advisor. I will not and cannot be held liable for any actions you take as a result of anything you read here. For further information please read the complete disclosure.

I’m just going to demonstrate how to add the Binance Smart Chain network to your MetaMask wallet.

This is actually really simple.

All you want to do is you want to come to this URL:

You want to scroll down to where it says Mainnet “This is the one you are probably looking for”.

Then you want to copy this URL right here.

Then you want to come up to your MetaMask. You can see here, we’ve got the Ethereum Mainnet. This is what you’d expect from MetaMask.

If you click on this, different networks will appear. But not default is Binance Smart Chain, so we’re going to add that manually.

We’re going to do that by clicking on Custom RPC, typing in the network name, which I’m getting here, Smart Chain.

Pasting in that URL we’ve just copied. Typing in the chain ID, which is 56. Then, BNB for the currency symbol. And last but not least, I’m going to type in this URL.

The reason I am typing this in manually rather than copying it, is if I click off MetaMask, for security reasons it stops this process and I would have to start all over again.

That’s why I actually copied the URL first, rather than simply coming to this area and then going and copying it.

I am happy with everything and I can click save. Now we can see the Smart Chain network is there. If I click X now, we can see it takes me straight to my Smart Chain wallet.

If I click up here now, it can go back to Ethereum. Click up here again, it can go down to the Smart Chain.

As you can see, it’s got BNB in and it’s got your activity in. You can send, you can swap BNB to different BNB tokens.
